Many trails are easy to access. Some are short and located very close to town, while others require several days to complete and are in desolate areas. For our die hards, public cabins are available along trails providing shelter for longer expeditions. If you are hiking a mountain trail, you'll mostly begin in the forst and end the trail among a long tree line. The country's finest natural creations are in arms reach for you now, so be prepared for a trip of a lifetime!

Let your journey begin! Hiking Alaska provides for amazing panoramic views, including incredible wildlife sightings and it doesn't cost a dime. National, state and local parks have gorgeous sights- The hardest part is deciding which one to visit first. Whether you're a casual walker or a veteran hiker, you can find a trail perfectly suited to your ability, during nay season, and for any time!

Considered to be one of the best hikes in all of the Chugach Mountains, Crow Pass follows a portion of the original Iditarod Trail, including its highest  point along the way you'll find glaciers, waterfalls, wildflowers, wildlife, mine ruins, and berries (in late Auguest and September). Hiking is not recommended in winter due to avalanches, but the trail is usually relatively snow- free by late June

Copper Landing

Following the zigzag shape of the Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing, the Kenai River Trail is your opportunity to revel in close-up views of the majestic lake, known for its turquoise hue.
